Description: Bathymetry data for the mouths of the Maketu Estuary and Kaituna River. All sounding was undertaken during fine weather periods. Sea conditions inside the entrances were very calm. Outside the entrances, light sea breezes ensured relative calm sea conditions and a 0.3-0.5m NE swell was experienced. WEATHER & SEA CONDITIONS: Swell effects were later removed from the raw data via automated system filtering techniques.
