Description: The Bay of Plenty Regional Council is required to inform respected Iwi of any consents or plans that can impact statutory acknowledgment/deed of settlement land. These sites are outlined and listed in the Regional Policy Statement (RPS).This layer aims to identify all the statutory acknowledgement areas in the Bay of Plenty Region.CAUTION:Not all sites in this layer are Statutory Acknoledgment sites. As of 11 Jan 2017 - with help from Nassah Steed and Esta Farquar, all Statutory Acknowledgment sites recognized in the RPS were identified. As a result of this work, a new field was created in the dataset to identify those sites. The field is called "Is Feature Found in RPS?" If attribute is populated with "Yes" then this is recongnized in the RPS. PLEASE use a filter query on "Yes" if you want to produce any maps that will contain statutory Acknowledgment Sites that are recognized in the RPS.
