In 2015 the Ministry of Education is withdrawing the majority of its school bus network in Tauranga. Bay ofPlenty Regional Council is providing a replacement bus service called Schoolhopper.The changes are due to a Ministry of Education policy based on the growth of Tauranga and access in the urban area to an established public transport network.The SchoolHopper school bus network is designed by Bay of Plenty Regional Council.The routes were digitised based on the 2014 school bus routes from Ministry of Education.The routes service the following schools: Aquinas CollegeBethlehem CollegeGreenpark SchoolGreerton SchoolMaungatapu PrimaryMount Maunganui IntermediateMount Maunganui CollegeOtumoetai CollegeOtumoetai IntermediatePāpāmoa Primary SchoolPāpāmoa CollegeSt Mary SchoolSt Thomas Moore SchoolTauranga Boys CollegeTauranga Girls CollegeTauranga IntermediateTauranga PrimaryThere will be on going changes when they are operational in 2015. |
