Description: Last updated: February 2023Potential drinking water suppliers were identified from:the current 2020 MOH layer held in Geoview,an older 2017 MOH layer that lost some still relevant records when it got converted to the 2020 layer (MOH’s error),an adhoc list from the DHB 2021/2022,consented community supplies, andCompliance business intelligence e.g. officers identifying potential sites during other activity inspections; Then a contact was identified for those on the list and they were sent a form to fill out (with the information that ended up in the register) and a map from us with an ‘X’ marks the spot. “Validation” was given when the supplier returned the form with the fields corrected and filled in, and either a “correct” or a “no its here” for the map.Suppliers were told that the information was being collected to inform BOPRC decision making for drinking water protection, for pollution response, and to forward to Taumata Arowai. The email template used to explain that to suppliers is attached. Marae have not been included because they are going to be contacted about this via another project. So the information should be 100% correct, but did we net everyone? I don’t know, we did the best we could with the information we have. A rough count at the moment is that the MOH layer had 71 sites and 2 were correct, the DHB had 64 sites and 2 were correct, we have 114 validated sites. This dataset will be updated at least yearly. Currently Adell Gilchrist is collecting and updating this data.
