BOPRC Provincial Groth Fund (PGF) LiDAR Block 1-4 were combined into a single mosaic dataset from Block 1 (Western Bay of Plenty/TCC/Offshore Islands), 2 (Whakatane/Offshore Islands), 3 (Rotorua), and 4 (Opotiki/Offshore Islands). The purposeful extent of this Bay of Plenty Regional Council (BOPRC) elevation layer is the same as its sister DSM which tends to cover all surface water catchments within the BOPRC Region as depicted from the Draft National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management (NPSFM) Freshwater Management Unit (FMU) boundaries https://maps.boprc.govt.nz/datasets/BOPRC::freshwater-management-units-draft<\/a> aligned to NIWA REC 2.4 boundaries https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=28d23ad94c2a4846b7634f4cdbba178f<\/a>.<\/div>

Outer region DEM tiles and additional Taupo District elevation tiles falling within the BOPRC region were kindly supplied by the adjacent regions/territorial local authorities (Waikato Regional Council, Gisborne District Council, and Hawkes Bay Regional Council) or acquired directly through the Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) Data Service.<\/font><\/div>

Because the outer-region tiles originated from a different batch/source of processed elevation models, edge artifact and slight discrepancies maybe visible. This will be fixed when National LiDAR point cloud derived surfaces are developed and made available for the tiles between different region captures.<\/span>

- Pulse density specification is at a minimum of >4 pulses/square meter.<\/span>

Vertical datum is NZVD2016.  Projection/Coordinate System: New Zealand Transverse Mercator (NZTM).<\/span><\/p><\/div>
